A view to run toward.

 Due to logistical issues we have moved the event from fall September 10th to spring on April 1, 2023. We apologize for any inconvenience but are still excited to see you out there for a beautiful run!

On April 1, 2023 join Red Dog Events on one of Utah's most beautiful courses. Just 11 miles outside of Hurricane on HWY 59, the course starts from Ruby Rider Ranch located in Apple Valley and continues down Smithsonian Butte Backcountry Byway. 

Zion cliffs stretch for miles, juniper trees and cacti, and if you're lucky enough a random deer or coyote are what you can expect to see on this breath-taking backcountry road. Both the 10k & 5k routes leave from Ruby Rider Ranch located at the Gooseberry Mesa turn-off then follow the Smithsonian Butte Scenic Byway towards Rockville. The routes are both out & back and share some of the best backcountry views of Zion National Park.

Beyond the beauty of the run there's so much more to see and do here in southern Utah. Run The Mesa is located right in the middle of southern Utah's best outdoor opportunities!  Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Snow Canyon State Park and Sand Hollow reservoir are just a few of the amazing places you and your family can begin to explore while here for your adventure.
